All members of EYN here and back home, I greet you all with the love of Christ, the Kings of Kings, the Lord of Lords and the Head of the Church IJMN

1. On behalf of all of us elected and appointed, I say thank you to all of you, first to God, for finding us worthy to serve God and you.
2. I see this appointment and election as a call for the greater unity of EYN.
3. We have all seen how God truly loves EYN. What a peaceful election, a rancor free election, God we praise your Holy Name.
4. We demonstrated respect to one another. This is truly following in Jesus’ Steps.
5. Congratulations EYN, Congratulations 77th Majalisa, what a testimony.
6. When I reflect back to the build up of the election, I have to confess my heart bled at some people.
7. The Church was literally getting to a point of being discredited before the world.
8. Names were given to some of us and bad ones for that matter.
9. Some said, electing a Bura person would lead to moving the Headquarters away from here. I beg you all, may this never be repeated on someone in the future. No single person can ever move an inch of EYN to anywhere. Do you know from history, that the one who wrote for the relocation of the HQtrs to Kwarhi is a Bura man from Garkida? Why these blackmail?
10. One good thing about myself, the outgoing President, and most especially the outgoing Vice President, whom has also been nominated and we stood together in this election, is that we have never said anything bad about each other. If some people who loved him so much and wanted him to be president have said bad things about me, I forgive you all. For Some of you that insulted both of us, as president elect I tell that we have forgiven. I urge you also to seek forgiveness from God. We don’t own people’s idea or opinion, they say it without our knowledge.
11. An adage in Bura says “idan ka saya dabba a wurin wanda ya iya Kula da dabba, kana da wahala, Amma idan Ka saya a wurin mara Kula kana da sa’a”.
12. This is not the best of time to accept leadership. But there must be some who will have to accept to be leaders.
13. Moreso, the past years of the leadership of President Joel S. Billi, have seen a lot of transformation as you can see, even our sister churches in TEKAN, when they visit, they confess that EYN is indeed a Church that is unequal to many.
14. So accepting Leadership from you President Billi, is not an easy task. Even this alone is big challenge. But with God we will do our best to move EYN to a greater height from where the past Leadership stoped.
15. Some people said, if am elected, I will take revenge on some people? Haba jama’a ai aikin yaranta ne. How can I take vengeance on my subordinate? Is immature, is carnal, I don’t have that in me.
16. Some said, if I am elected, we shall unwind things done prior to my emergence. Let me inform you that Mr. President was my classmate at TCNN during our post graduate where I served as our Chef, or cook. As we came on board as President and General Secretary for 8 eight years, we have never pointed a finger at each other. Don’t forget, also, that I have been part of the system, therefore there is nothing unwind.
17. You all could bear me witness, I haven’t said to anybody I want to be President, God spoke through you.
18. As such, I made no pledge to anyone except to say, may the perfect will of God that is good for His Church be done.
19. Please, if you elected us for transfers, I beg you to drop that ambition.
20. Here is our vision,
    ‘A united living church, deeply rooted in the word of God, spiritually, numerically and materially prosperous.”
21. To achieve these
22. We pledge to work towards reconciliation, manpower development, discipleship, brethren heritage, collaboration with all stakeholders, inclusive administration, to ensure that EYN stands as one.
23. We have listened to concerns where some members are feeling we have deviated from our Brethren Heritage, some Leaders/pastors are saying the same thing, we shall all work towards rediscovering our heritage and uphold it. We have to know our identity, We are not ECWA, neither are we COCIN or Roman Catholic but EYN.
    24 Any Pastor or member or congregation that feel hurt, more especially from the Western DCCs, I ask for the spirit of peace to be with you all. Let’s forgive one another from members, pastors, LCC, DCC and the HQtrs.
24. I plead with you, President Joel Billi who have a wealth of experience especially with Pastors to give us your time when we knock at your door. You have experienced love from EYN pastors as no other leader, I plead all pastors and members alike to give us the same.
25. For members of the NSC, we know one another, let’s be determined to work together for the greater good of EYN. Directors, you should sit up, we have worked with you while I was General Secretary, now am coming as the leader, there is need for reorientation. Let us keep aside all the past experiences and work as a team.
26. NEC, please let’s vision together for EYN.
27. For those whose name came up, congratulations, you are equally qualified probably much more, God is just saying not yet. I congratulate you all.
28. Our Constitution is difficult to understand, in some Churches, you don’t dissolve the office before election, EYN does that, thereby creating tension.
29. As much as our constitution has some challenges, I pledge to uphold our constitution and all our working documents.
30. Our partners CoB, Mission 21 and MCC, we look forward to growing partnership.
31. We shall do all we can to restore trust and confidence between the LCCs, DCCs and the Headquarters. We call on all pastors and DCC Secretaries to help us.
32. I call on all EYN Members to come, so that together, we with all of you shall lift EYN up. We will stand for the Church, we will stand in defence of what is right, we shall be transparent, we will protect the asset of the church honestly and faithfully.
33. I congratulate President Billi, mu Kam ba congratulations ba Amma addua ne za’a yi mana da goyon Baya.
