The EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, PhD, commissioned 15 brand-new motorcycles for Community Development Officers (CDOs), while emphasizing the importance of faithful stewardship.

Addressing the beneficiaries and EYN Headquarters staff, during distribution today at EYN Headquarters Kwarhi, Hong LGA, Adamawa State, the President acknowledging Bread For the World (BrFTW) for this initiative explained that the funds used for the purchase of the motorcycles are generated from donors, not internally acquired, therefore, he urged beneficiaries to diligently manage and utilize the motorcycle with care, prioritizing the advancement of the Gospel.

Speaking with EYN News Head of Department, Community Development Department Mr. Emmanuel Daniel said it’s a privilege for them to carry out this task which was stopped 11 years ago due to insurgency. He said “we are working with the Community Development Officers to encourage commuters to be self-reliant and reduce their dependence on the government for livelihood. The vision is for them to take control of their financial life. For the motorcycle, it is one of the incentive a CDO can get as mobility to ensure they carry out their activities with less hitches”.
The CDOs expressed gratitude to EYN, ICBDP, BFW, and donors, promising optimal of the motorcycle to further community development objectives.

Mr. Jacob Tumba, Community Development Officer of Shani, Shani LGA, Borno State, said “ I am really delighted indeed, in my own case it has not been easy going to the nooks and cranny without mobility especially with the exorbitant price of fuel. I therefore express gratitude to God to be among those who have benefited this great act of kindness”. He thanked the Bread for the World for their philanthropic gesture explaining that the motorcycle will not only ease his work but also encourage him to go beyond his normal routine.
Miss. Peace Stephen Dauda, CDO, Watu community, Michika LGA, Adamawa State, said this motorcycle will ease her work and punctuality to meet up with activities at her disperse community. Previous following a public transport delays her activities which sometimes distort the effectiveness of workshops but now she has positive vibes.
