The 19th Borno Company of The Boys’ Brigade Nigeria on Sunday held its annual Enrolment Service at EYN LCC Maiduguri, drawing an impressive turnout for a day filled with celebration, recognition, and spiritual encouragement.

The ceremony, held on Sunday, 23rd November 2025, featured the decoration of the company’s newly appointed chaplain as well as awards presented to outstanding boys and supporters who have distinguished themselves throughout the year.

A standout moment of the event was the recognition of boys who excelled in various activities during the year under review. Among them was Bitrus A. Yakubu, whose exceptional performance earned him, 2nd runner-up in the state-level Bible Quiz competitionbefore going on to represent Borno State in Abuja in the Junior Section Category. Bitrus received special gifts from both the Company and the Battalion in appreciation of his achievements. The Company also honoured Miss. Stella Asiwaju, a dedicated Sunday School teacher whose steady commitment and guidance greatly aided the boys’ preparation and performance in Bible Quiz competitions.

The sermon for the day was delivered by the Company’s patron, Evang. Ishaku K. Dali, who underscored the importance of Christian youths remaining determined and steadfast in “finishing the race,” especially in today’s challenging environment. Drawing from the EYN theme of the year, he urged the boys to embrace resilience, faith, and dedication as they grow in character and service.

The programme also featured speeches from key leaders, including the Company Adjutant, Lt. Tarisha Hamidu Kadzai (NTO), the Battalion Vice Chairman, Lt. Samaila Hamidu Kadzai (NTO), and the State PRO, Ishaku Fori Ndahi (ANTO), who also serves as the Company Captain. Speaking on behalf of the President of The Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Borno State Council, the State PRO expressed profound pride in the accomplishments of the 19th Borno Company and commended its leadership for continued growth, discipline, and vision.

Adding colour and depth to the celebration, the programme included a combined musical presentation featuring various church groups who rendered a special number to mark the occasion. The day’s significance was further elevated as the company’s patrons appeared in uniform in impressive numbers, their presence symbolizing support, unity, and encouragement.

The ceremony concluded with a dignified parade in honour of the newly decorated Chaplain, Rev. Usman Waziri Dibal, formally marking the beginning of his spiritual oversight over the Company. The parade served as a fitting close to a memorable day of service, commitment, and celebration for the 19th Borno Company.
