The 35th DCC Gombi Majalisa has successfully concluded, leaving participants spiritually uplifted and richly blessed. The four-day gathering, held from February 24–27 at EYN LCC No. 1 Gombi, recorded a remarkable turnout, with delegates and members from all 13 Local Church Councils (LCCs) under the DCC in attendance.

The conference was officially declared open by the DCC Secretary, Rev. Mustapha Kuchofe, alongside the DCC Chairman, Rev. Muteh. Their opening remarks set a reverent and expectant tone for what would become a spiritually impactful and memorable event.

Centered on the theme, “Obey to Prosper,” the Majalisa deeply resonated with the congregation. The Guest Minister, Rev. Amb. Timta L. Musa, delivered inspiring and thought-provoking sermons emphasizing the power and blessings of obedience to God. Drawing from biblical examples such as Abraham’s unwavering faith and the obedience of Jesus Christ to the will of the Father, he challenged believers to live lives fully surrendered to God’s direction in order to experience true prosperity—spiritually and otherwise.

Other notable speakers enriched the conference with practical teachings relevant to everyday Christian living. Rev. Samaila J. Futu addressed the role of Christians in business, encouraging integrity, diligence, and godly principles in the marketplace.  Mr. Charles Dewa also delivered an insightful message on Christians in politics, urging believers to actively participate in governance while upholding biblical values and righteousness.

In addition to the sermons, various departments of the DCC office presented reports highlighting progress, growth, and achievements recorded over the past year. These presentations reflected the collective commitment of the leadership and members toward strengthening the work of the church across all LCCs.

The Majalisa reached its climax with a colorful and joyous thanksgiving service. The vibrant expressions of praise created an atmosphere of gratitude and communal joy. With an average daily attendance of over 1,500 people, the event stood as a testament to the spiritual hunger and unity among members.

The conference was formally brought to a close by the DCC Secretary, who delivered a stirring closing message that charged attendees to remain steadfast in obedience and service. The event concluded on a high note with a traditional Ga’anda dance, leaving lasting memories in the hearts of all who participated.

Indeed, the 35th DCC Gombi Majalisa was a remarkable season of spiritual renewal, fellowship, teaching, and celebration—an experience that will continue to inspire the faithful long after its conclusion.
