
The EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y.C Mbaya, PhD, reaffirmed the leadership’s dedication to launch a Sunday School Department. This was part of his 13 – point inaugural address and was reiterated during the grand finale of the 2024 National Sunday School Bible Recitation and Quiz.
President Mbaya further expressed the leadership’s gratitude to the Education Department, the Judges, Sunday School Teachers, Zonal Coordinators for their relentless efforts and urged them to keep the track records of the participants to ensure their growth and spiritual well-being for a more promising future for the Church.
The event, which showcased the biblical knowledge and recitation skills of participants, saw winners emerge in various categories including:

– 1st position: Possible Luka (Kwarhi zone)

who won cash prizes, provided a fitting backdrop for the President’s reiteration of his commitment.
Dr. Yamtikariya J. Mshelia, Former Director of Women Ministry, in her goodwill message, commended the leadership for their support to the Sunday School and encouraged Zonal Coordinators to continue their good work. She urged children to be proud of their achievements and to hold firm to God’s word.
Rev. Bukar Lalai, Secretary of the Ministers Council, emphasized the rarity of opportunities like this and called on participants to be firm in their faith, warning that the devil will always try to steal their devotion.
Rev. T. Hore, DCC Secretary Hong, stressed the importance of children as future leaders and the backbone of the church. He encouraged churches to identify and choose dedicated teachers from their congregation to nurture the spiritual growth of the youth.
