Sunday, 18-08-2024- The EYN family in DCC Lagos came together for a grand celebration at the granting of autonomy to EYN LCB Awoyaya, LCC Ajah DCC Lagos. The event was graced by the presence of EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y.C Mbaya, PhD, urged members to remain united in Christ Jesus and continue to pray for the EYN leadership and the entire EYN Church.
During the ceremony, Rev. Prof. Dauda A. Gavva, Provost of West African Theological Seminary, Lagos, (WATS), congratulated the EYN President with an award for his election into office.
The EYN General Secretary Rev. James K. Musa preached from Matthew 16:13-18, emphasizing the importance of personal witness and knowledge of Jesus. He encouraged members to be the true church of Christ on earth and to remain relevant in their respective contexts.
According to Evang. Zakaria Umaru who witnessed the event, described the occasion as a momentous celebration, filled with joy, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose. EYN LCB Awoyaya, LCC Ajah DCC Lagos, and will be remembered for years to come.
