It was a day of joy, gratitude, and heartfelt celebration as the EYN Local Church Council (LCC) Jos hosted a colorful send-off service for two beloved pastors on September 21, 2025. The event honored Rev. Yusuf Sunday, outgoing pastor of LCB Masu Sarkin Kudu, and Rev. Ishaya Shibira, outgoing pastor of LCB K Vom, who both dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to serving in the vineyard of God.

The atmosphere was charged with emotion as family, friends, church members, and well-wishers gathered to bid farewell and shower the pastors with love, prayers, and good wishes for their new journey.

Guest preacher Rev. Ezra Dzarahuta, Assistant Pastor of LCC Jos, brought an inspiring message titled “Search Me Oh God and Know My Heart”, drawn from Psalm 139:1–24 and 1 Corinthians 2:10–16. He reminded the congregation of the need to live holy lives, remain watchful, and constantly invite God to search both the past and present to ensure we walk in ways pleasing to Him.

Rev. Dzarahuta also emphasized that pastoral ministry is not just about leading, but shepherding with humility, nurturing growth, and leaving lasting legacies.

The event was not short of excitement—goodwill messages poured in from members and friends, expressing gratitude for the guidance, protection, and fatherly love shown by the two pastors. Songs of praise and soul-lifting music ministrations added rhythm and joy to the celebration, making the send-off feel more like a festival of faith.

In an emotional highlight, families of the outgoing pastors expressed deep appreciation to the congregation for standing by their fathers in ministry and prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon everyone.
