A life of Service: Rev. Doma Nukura dies at 88

The EYN family came together to bid farewell to Late Rev. Doma Nukura (Rtd) on July 30, 2025, at EYN LCC Kirya, DCC Bikama, Mubi North, Adamawa State. Born on April 15, 1937, Rev. Nukura left an indelible mark on the lives of many through his dedication to serving the Lord and his people.

At the funeral service, EYN President Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya PhD delivered a powerful message of comfort to the family and the entire congregation. He described Rev. Nukura’s demise as a transition to glory, worthy of celebration, and reminded the mourners that death is a gateway to better glory that lasts forever.

The President expressed gratitude to all ministers and their wives who attended the funeral service. Rev. John Z. Wada, Director of EYN Audit and Documentation, delivered a sermon based on Matthew Chapter 5, emphasizing the importance of being the light of the world.

A Life of Faith and Service

Late Rev. Doma Nukura’s life was a testament to his faith and commitment to serving others. Born to the family of Nukura and Sivu in Kirya Village, he received Christ as his Lord and personal Savior in 1961 and was baptized in 1968. He married Mrs. Zariya Jatau in 1962 and was blessed with eight children.

Throughout his ministry, Rev. Nukura served in various capacities, including as an evangelist, chairman, and vice chairman of different districts. He retired on December 31, 2011, but his legacy continues to inspire many.

May Rev. Nukura’s memory be a blessing to all who knew him and may his legacy of faith and service continue to inspire generations to come.
