Oh Chibok, What have you done to deserve this?
Series of inhumane attacks, yet the world said nothing.
When will the oppressors ever have compassion on you,
Because it seems your life is at their mercy.
In a country where we claim law and order,
But no law was ever right for you.
Perhaps the laws were written for those in a safe haven,
Leaving you to suffer, in a never-ending ravine.
Oh Chibok, your pain is real, your suffering true,
But still, the world turns a blind eye, all you went through is forgotten.
When will we learn, to stand up for what’s right?
And fight for your freedom, with all our might?
This time we mean when we say we stand for you. Not for the media, nor to enrich our pockets when you lavish terror and fear, whether tomorrow is promised.
I STAND WITH CHIBOK, FOR THE END OF THE KIDNAPPINGS AND THEFT
