The EYN ZME (Zumunta Matan Ekklisiya) otherwise known in English as Women Fellowship, scheduled her National Week across all EYN territory, from April 21st to 27th, 2025. With a powerful and uplifting message directed toward women, emphasizing the importance of living faithfully and wisely in today’s world, various activities were organized to mark the occasion.
At the forefront of this spiritual celebration is the EYN LCC Mararaba Mubi, which set the tone with a stirring sermon centered around the theme, “Be Like the Five Wise Women of the Bible in Your Determination to Finish the Race.”
A Stirring Call to Wisdom and Preparedness
The church auditorium was filled with vibrant color and a tangible spirit of expectation as Mrs. Priscilla Peter Julde mounted the pulpit to deliver a sermon that would set the tone for the entire week. Her message, titled “Be Like the Five Wise Women of the Bible in Your Determination to Finish the Race,” was drawn from Matthew 25:1-13 — the Parable of the Ten Virgins.

As she spoke, Mrs. Julde’s voice carried a weight of urgency and love. She painted a vivid picture of two kinds of people in the world: those who prepare for eternity and those who live carelessly. She called on every woman present to be like the five wise virgins, whose readiness and perseverance led them into the joy of the Master’s celebration.
“Faith must be intentional,” she said passionately. “Wisdom is not inherited — it is cultivated. And the race we run requires not just starting well, but finishing strong.“
Her words were more than a sermon; they were a rallying cry. Many women were visibly moved, some wiping away tears as they committed silently to live with greater focus, discipline, and hope.
A Time of Spiritual Renewal
For many women, the ZME National Week served as a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. It was more than just a celebration; it was a call to deeper commitment, a moment to renew their covenant with God, and an opportunity to encourage one another. Testimonies were shared, highlighting how the event rekindled the fire of faith in the hearts of many and reignited the passion to serve God more diligently.
Beyond the spiritual activities, the week also featured acts of service, as women groups engaged in community outreach, visiting the sick, helping the needy, and showcasing the love of Christ in practical ways. These acts reinforced the message of living a purposeful and impactful life.
The 2025 ZME National Week has proven to be a significant spiritual milestone for the EYN community, particularly for the women who took part. By focusing on the inspiring example of the five wise virgins, the event challenged and motivated participants to press on in their Christian race with determination and wisdom. As the week continues, it is expected to leave a lasting impact, equipping women across the nation to shine brightly in their faith journeys and to remain steadfast until the race is finished.
