Madagali, Adamawa State– September 2025
Yesterday, between 7:45 p.m. and 11:20 p.m., Boko Haram terrorists launched a deadly attack on Wagga Mongoro community in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

According to James Simon Mutha, DCC Wagga Liaison Officer for EYN News the assault claimed the lives of four innocent people and left over 100 men and women injured. The attackers also burned down 16 houses, shops, and churches, leaving the community devastated.

What remains most disturbing is the lack of intervention by federal government security forces, including the police and military, for nearly six hours during the attack. Local vigilante groups bravely attempted to repel the terrorists, but their limited resources were insufficient against the heavily armed insurgents.

We urgently call on the Federal Government of Nigeria, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Senator Rev. Amos, and members of the House of Representatives to take immediate action. The humanitarian crisis facing Wagga Mongoro and surrounding communities must be addressed without delay.
The people of this region deserve protection, support, and justice.
