It was a beautiful day of celebration and heartfelt goodbyes on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, as members of EYN LCC Rantiya Jos came together to send off their beloved pastor, Rev. James Sallah Balami, to his new pastoral assignment.

The church was filled with friends, family, and well-wishers who came out to show their love and appreciation for Rev. Balami’s time and service. The atmosphere was warm, emotional, and full of joy—as only a true church family can create.

Guest preacher Prof. Philip Asura brought a stirring message titled “What Will He Be Remembered For?” drawing from Acts 20:17-20. He encouraged everyone, especially the outgoing pastor, to finish the race well and stay faithful to the end. His words served as both a challenge and a blessing, urging Rev. Balami to keep leading with love, lifting others up, and making sure God’s word continues to shine through his ministry.

Throughout the service, there were touching tributes from various dignitaries, friends, and members of the church. They shared sweet memories, kind words, and lots of laughter—all celebrating a man whose time at Rantiya Jos clearly left a mark.

Rev. Balami, deeply moved, gave thanks to God for bringing him this far. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the congregation for their unwavering love, support, and kindness during his time with them.

Of course, no celebration is complete without music! There were soulful song ministrations that lifted spirits and brought a few tears (the happy kind!) as people reflected on the journey shared.
