DCC Biu Annual Convention 2026: Obey to Prosper Message Inspires Believers
The DCC Biu Annual Convention 2026 was a landmark spiritual gathering that united believers in a powerful three-day experience of worship, learning, and renewal.
The convention, organized by EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, drew large crowds from nine Local Church Councils (LCCs) and fifteen Local Church Branches (LCBs) across Biu, Borno State.
Held from Wednesday to Saturday, the event reflected the spirit of a true Majalisa, celebrating faith, unity, and growth under the leadership of DCC Secretary Rev. Kefas Ngari.

Powerful Theme: Obey to Prosper
A central highlight of the DCC Biu Annual Convention 2026 was the impactful message delivered by Guest Preacher Rev. Paul Abraham Chandimi.
Speaking on the theme “Obey to Prosper,” he emphasized that obedience is not a burden but a pathway to divine favor.
Using biblical references including Moses, Abraham, and Jesus Christ, he explained:
- Obedience opens doors to God’s blessings
- Disobedience leads to spiritual setbacks
- Faith must be demonstrated through action
He urged believers to live lives that reflect practical obedience to God’s word.
Opening Ceremony and Welcome Address
The convention officially commenced with a welcome address by Rev. Ishaya Inuwa Bwala, Chairman of DCC Biu, who warmly received delegates and declared the convention open.
He encouraged members to remain committed to unity and spiritual growth.
Teachings on Marriage, Love, and Politics
Beyond preaching sessions, the DCC Biu Annual Convention 2026 featured several impactful teachings.
Courtship and Marriage
Bro. Samson Wadu taught on Courtship and Marriage, highlighting:
- Biblical understanding of marriage
- Criteria for healthy relationships
- Wisdom for sustaining marital unions
Obedience and the Love of the World
The second teaching by Engr. Ishaya Bukar Yakda focused on:
- Agape love (John 3:16)
- Family love and relational love
- Dangers of materialistic relationships
Christians and Politics
In the third teaching, Rev. Kefas Ngari spoke on Christians and Politics, explaining that:
- Politics involves influencing leadership and power
- Leadership is ordained by God
