The District Church Council Maiduguri has welcomed Rev. Bulus Danladi Jau as her new Secretary in Maiduguri.
Rev. Jau was formally received during a welcome service held on Sunday, 9 August 2026, at EYN LCC Maiduguri, which also serves as his installation ceremony to formally start carrying out his duties.
The event was attended by church leaders, pastors, ministers and members from different Local Church Councils and groups within DCC Maiduguri.
During the service, the DCC Chairman, Rev. Yuguda Z. Ndurvwa, urged the new secretary to carry out his duties with integrity, humility, wisdom and commitment.
He encouraged Rev. Jau to maintain a strong prayer life and seek God’s direction in carrying out his responsibilities.
“Your service should be marked by faithfulness, integrity, wisdom and humility,” Rev. Ndurvwa said, while urging him to remain committed to serving the church and its members.
Church groups at the LCC and DCC levels presented gifts and contributions to Rev. Jau as a sign of support and acceptance.
The ceremony also included prayers for God’s guidance and wisdom as he begins his tenure.
DCC Maiduguri expressed confidence that Rev. Bulus Danladi Jau will contribute to the effective administration and growth of the church during his tenure.
