The Education Directorate of Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria (EYN), under the leadership of Director Rev. Daniel I. Yumuna, held a two-day strategic meeting with Sunday School Zonal Coordinators from across the denomination. The meeting, which took place at the EYN Headquarters in Kwarhi from Thursday, July 10 to Friday, July 11, 2025, focused on building a stronger and more effective Sunday School ministry, recognizing it as the foundation for the future of the Church.

In his opening remarks, Rev. Yumuna emphasized the importance of the Sunday School unit in nurturing the next generation of believers. “Our children and youth are not just the church of tomorrow — they are the church of today,” he stated. “This meeting aims to reposition our Sunday School structure so that it becomes a vibrant tool for spiritual growth and church sustainability.”

The EYN Administrative Secretary, Rev. Amb. Timta L. Musa, who represented the EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, reaffirmed the leadership’s strong support for the Sunday School ministry. In his goodwill message, he described the unit as one of the most sensitive and crucial areas of concern for the church, saying, “As a leadership, we are committed to investing in the Sunday School. The future of the Church depends on how well we raise the children and youth in the fear and knowledge of God.”

Throughout the two days, sessions focused on curriculum development, teacher training, resource provision, and grassroots mobilization. Participants shared experiences and challenges from their respective zones and worked collaboratively to develop actionable strategies to strengthen the Sunday School across the denomination.
