The much-awaited National EYN Youth Convention is officially underway. The event will bring together all youths of the EYN Church regardless of subgroup affiliation for a united and uplifting gathering like never before.
During the EYN Headquarters staff morning devotion today, the EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, PhD, joyfully inaugurated a Five-Member Committee to lead preparations for the maiden edition of the convention. This exciting development is the result of meaningful engagement between the church leadership and its youth.
The idea for a physical Youth Convention was first suggested during a Zoom meeting tagged “Brethren Youth with the EYN President” held on December 3, 2024, where participants passionately called for a life-changing, church-wide youth gathering. The proposal received overwhelming support and was formally adopted during the 78th Majalisa, held from April 8 to 11, 2025.
The newly inaugurated committee comprises:
- Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba, EYN Vice President – Chairman
- Bro. Ayuba Usman Balami, Director of Finance & Economic Development – Secretary
- Mrs. Hassana Habu, Director of Women Ministry – Member
- Rev. Isa Yunusa Adziba, KTS Exam Officer/Chaplain – Member
- Miss Rifkatu Yakubu, DRM Staff – Member
The EYN Vice President, Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba, who will serve as the Chairman of the committee, expressed his enthusiasm and described it as a rare privilege to be part of the pioneer team for the National EYN Youth Convention. He emphasized the importance of collective effort and called on all staff and stakeholders to offer their full support to ensure the success of the convention with minimal hitches all to the glory of God.
While the exact date and other logistical details will be determined at the committee’s first meeting, the excitement among the youth is already palpable.
This historic convention promises to be a powerful time of spiritual renewal, fellowship, and unity across the EYN Church.
