Mr. Joshua Isuwa has been recognized as the first choirmaster to compose a song in alignment with the EYN Theme of the Year 2026, marking a significant spiritual and musical milestone in the worship life of EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria.
The newly composed song, “Biyayya Domin Ci Gaba” (Obedience to Move Forward), was written on 1 January 2026 under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and was first ministered at EYN LCC Tanki, DCC Maisandari. The composition reflects the heart of the 2026 EYN theme, emphasizing obedience to God as the pathway to spiritual growth and prosperity.
Mr. Isuwa is a born-again Christian who was baptized at EYN LCC Tanki on 4 September 2008. He is widely known as a chorister by calling and a professional choir music director with extensive and sustained experience in church music ministry.
Over the years, he has served faithfully in various leadership capacities, including as Choirmaster at the LCC level, EYN DCC Maisandari Choir, and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Borno State Choir. His years of service are marked by discipline, spiritual depth, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in worship.
Church members and music ministers have described the song as timely and edifying, strengthening the hearts of believers while reinforcing the biblical truth that obedience to God brings divine reward and progress.
