EYN Church Autonomy: LCB Dazha Attains Local Church Council Status
EYN Vice President Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba officiates the church autonomy ceremony granting Local Church Council status to LCB Dazha under LCC Kamale, DCC Sina-Kwande.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the congregation’s spiritual and administrative growth as it transitioned from a Local Church Branch under EYN LCC Kamale, DCC Sina-Kwande, to an independent Local Church Council.
The autonomy service brought together church leaders, members, and guests in celebration of the congregation’s readiness to assume greater leadership responsibilities while advancing the mission of the church.
Church autonomy is an important stage in the development of EYN congregations. It recognises that a local church has attained the maturity required to manage its ministry, leadership, governance, and mission as a fully established Local Church Council.
The elevation of LCB Dazha reflects EYN’s continued commitment to strengthening church governance, empowering local congregations, and expanding the church’s ministry across communities.
The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba, Vice President of EYN, who formally granted Local Church Council status to LCB Dazha.
Delivering sermon during the Autonomy, Rev. Prof. Dauda A. Gava urged members of the newly established council to remain united as they embraced their new responsibilities.
He encouraged the congregation to trust in God for wisdom and strength to remain faithful in their calling, stressing that unity would be essential for the continued growth and effectiveness of the church.
Addressing the congregation, Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba congratulated the members on achieving Local Church Council status and reminded them that the new position carries both privileges and responsibilities.
He encouraged church leaders and members to work diligently, remain faithful to their commitments, and ensure that nothing hinders the progress of the newly established council.
The Vice President further urged the congregation to uphold biblical values, strengthen evangelism and discipleship, provide effective leadership, and continue serving their community with integrity and dedication.
Church leaders emphasised that attaining Local Church Council status is not only an administrative achievement but also a spiritual responsibility.
Members were encouraged to remain faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ, promote unity within the congregation, and work together in advancing the mission of the church.
The leaders also highlighted the importance of servant leadership, accountability, and community outreach as the foundation for sustained church growth.
Members of the newly established LCC Dazha expressed gratitude to God and appreciation to the leadership of EYN for guiding the congregation throughout the autonomy process.
