The ongoing capacity Building Workshop tagged “Competent DCC Secretaries in the 21st Century”, held at the Church’s National Headquarters, the 4 day workshop slated from 24th -27, Sept, 2024, featured a Health Talk session yesterday Thursday, 26, September open to EYN Headquarters staff members.
Renowned Medical Expert and Lecturer, Dr. Zira G. Vandi, MBBS, FMCP, from Modibbo Adama University of Technology, College of Medicine, delivered a thought-provoking presentation on the Cardiovascular Risk Factors and Sudden Death.
Dr. Vandi highlighted the alarming rate of sudden deaths resulting from ignorance or neglect of common symptoms. He emphasized the importance of recognizing and addressing cardiovascular risk factors.
“Sudden death can be prevented if we pay attention to warning signs,” Dr. Vandi stressed. “It’s crucial to prioritize health awareness and education.”
Rev. Amb. Timta L. Musa present at the workshop reiterated EYN’s dedication to staff well-being, saying, “We prioritize the health and wellness of our team members, recognizing its impact on productivity and overall quality of life”.
The workshop demonstrated EYN’s proactive approach to addressing health concerns and promoting a culture of wellness.
