The EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria DCC BIU Choir Annual Convention 2026 was held from Friday, June 5 to Saturday, June 6, 2026, at EYN LCC Tumfure in Gombe State, bringing together choir members, church leaders, and worshippers for a two-day spiritual gathering centred on the theme “Obey to Prosper” drawn from Deuteronomy 29:9.
The annual convention focused on strengthening faith, unity, and obedience to God’s word among choir members and the wider congregation. It also served as a platform for spiritual renewal, worship, and musical development within the DCC BIU choir structure.
The programme opened with worship sessions led by the choir, followed by teachings and ministrations delivered by church leaders. Among those who played key roles were Mr. Samson Bello, DCC Choir Chairman, who served as host; Rev. Kefas Ngari, DCC BIU Secretary, who was the chief host; Rev. Luka K. Siya, the host pastor; and Rev. Edison Madungati, who delivered the main preaching sessions.
Rev. Madungati’s message centred on obedience to God’s word as the foundation for spiritual growth and prosperity. He urged participants to remain faithful in service, stressing that obedience remains a defining principle for believers seeking alignment with God’s purpose.
Throughout the convention, worship was marked by choir renditions, spirit-filled ministrations, and moments of reflection that encouraged participants to deepen their commitment to Christian living. Attendees described the gathering as spiritually uplifting, with many expressing renewed dedication to their faith and church responsibilities.
By the end of the programme, participants were encouraged to carry the lessons of obedience and unity into their daily lives and local congregations. Church leaders expressed hope that the impact of the convention would continue to reflect in stronger choir participation and more committed service within the church.
