EYN DCC Gi’ima Gospel Team Convention 2026 Emphasizes Obedience and Spiritual Discipline
Members of the Gospel Team (Kungiyan Bishara) in EYN DCC Gi’ima gathered at EYN LCC Njairi from April 22 to 25, 2026, for their 9th annual convention, an event that went beyond routine fellowship to address deeper questions of obedience and spiritual responsibility.
Held under the leadership of Mr. Timothy Luka, the convention centered on the theme “Obey to Prosper,” drawn from Deuteronomy 29:9. Throughout the sessions, participants were challenged to see obedience not as a suggestion, but as a necessary pathway to spiritual growth and stability.
Guest preacher Rev. Simon Sanda Shawa of EYN LCC Njairi delivered pointed teachings that examined the subtle ways believers can be distracted or weakened in their faith. He outlined various influences described as tools used by the devil, urging attendees to remain alert and grounded in discipline.
The convention also created room for engagement and expression. On Friday, April 24, songs and offering competitions were held, bringing together different groups in moments of participation that blended worship with creativity and unity.
By the end of the gathering, the tone had clearly shifted from a typical annual meeting to a more reflective and intentional call to action—one that places responsibility on individuals to live out what they believe.
