Gombi, Adamawa State – The Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (EYN) District Church Council (DCC) Gombi on Saturday gathered at EYN LCC No. 1 Gombi to celebrate the life and legacy of Late Mama Rhoda Moses Mala, describing her as a devoted Christian mother whose life positively impacted many people.
Family members, ministers, church leaders, friends, and well-wishers attended the funeral service to pay their last respects and thank God for her exemplary Christian life.
In his condolence message delivered on behalf of the **EYN President, Rev. Dr. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, the DCC Secretary, Rev. Moses Kuchufe, conveyed the President’s heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. He encouraged them to remain steadfast in the Christian faith, taking comfort in the hope of the resurrection promised in Christ.
The DCC Chairman, Rev. Joel Mutah, welcomed the congregation and offered words of encouragement and comfort, reminding mourners that although death brings sorrow, believers have the assurance of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Tributes described the late Mama Rhoda as a humble, prayerful, and dedicated mother who remained faithful in serving God even after the loss of her husband. Her commitment to the work of the Gospel and her love for God’s people left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire many generations.
Following the funeral service, her remains were laid to rest at the Christian Cemetery, Gombi , amid prayers and hymns of hope.
Late Mama Rhoda’s life of faith, service, and sacrifice will be fondly remembered by the EYN family and all who knew her.
