EYN DCC Gombi 35th Anniversary with Thanksgiving and Book Launch
The EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, District Church Council (DCC) Gombi, has celebrated its 35th anniversary with a vibrant thanksgiving service, colourful book launch, and fellowship lunch held at EYN 2 Gombi.
Members gathered in large numbers to give thanks to God for His faithfulness and to reflect on the remarkable growth of the church over the past three and a half decades.
Celebrating Years of Growth and Expansion
Since its establishment, DCC Gombi has experienced steady spiritual and numerical growth, leading to the planting of several Local Church Councils (LCCs) and the emergence of additional District Church Councils (DCCs) within EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria.
The anniversary provided an opportunity to celebrate these milestones and reaffirm commitment to the church’s mission.
Dignitaries Grace the Celebration
The event attracted notable dignitaries, including Hon. Dr. Patience Ishaku Abbo, who represented Senator Ishaku Abbo, as well as Hon. WilberforceHassan Usman.
Godfrey Mamman, who served as chairman of the occasion, expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for granting the church the grace to witness 35 impactful years of ministry.
Commendations and Closing Prayers
Hon. Solomon Adamu represented Hon. James Barkka, while Hon. Dogara Fachi commended the organizing committee and leadership for their dedication and hard work in making the anniversary a success.
In his closing remarks, Rev. Mustapha Kuchofe thanked God for the congregation and prayed for journey mercies, committing all attendees to God’s protection for a safe return home in Jesus’ name.
