DCC Gulak Organized DCC Secretary’s Day
The EYN District Church Council (DCC) Gulak, together with representatives from all Local Church Councils (LCCs), convened at EYN Church Gulak to mark DCC Secretary’s Day. The occasion was organized to honor and appreciate the dedicated service, commitment, and leadership of the DCC Secretary Rev. Julius D. Garba in advancing the work of God.
Delivering the sermon, Rev. Friday Ibrahim drew inspiration from 2 Corinthians 8:1–5, highlighting the example of the Macedonian churches who gave generously despite trials and poverty. He emphasized that:
- True Christian giving flows from a joyful heart and sincere devotion to God.
- Believers are called to first give themselves to the Lord before offering their resources.
- Sacrificial giving fosters unity and growth within the body of Christ.
- The grace of giving is a spiritual act that reflects faith and love for God’s work.

In his response, Rev. Julius D. Garba, DCC Secretary, expressed profound gratitude to the entire DCC leadership and all LCCs for their generosity and goodwill. He noted that he was deeply humbled by the honor and support shown to him, and offered prayers asking God to richly bless every individual and group who contributed to the success of the celebration.
The event concluded with thanksgiving, fellowship, and a renewed commitment to supporting the mission and ministry of the church across the DCC.
