Jos, Plateau State – The EYN DCC Jos has organized a special workshop for pastors’ children with the theme “Pastors’ Children Inheritance,” drawn from Numbers 18:20. The program focused on the spiritual values, principles, and character traits that pastors are expected to pass down to their children as their true inheritance.

The guest speaker, Rev. Emmanuel Mazihriyi, Leading Pastor of EYN LCC Sabon Barki, emphasized that pastors’ children are not only heirs of faith but also contributors to the ministry, advisers, and builders of God’s kingdom. He urged them to balance ministry and worldly responsibilities, warning them not to envy sinners but to remain zealous for the Lord through regular Bible study and devotion.

Rev. Mazihriyi encouraged the children to intentionally partner with their parents in ministry by grounding themselves in biblical foundations. He highlighted the need for them to be themselves, discover their own paths, and embrace their responsibility of representing their families’ values while serving others and giving back to the community.

He further reminded them to submit to family discipline, listen attentively to preaching, avoid pressuring their parents, and remain obedient. By asking questions and following godly instructions, he said, pastors’ children would grow stronger in faith and character.

In response, the children expressed appreciation for the guidance received during the workshop and pledged to live better lives in support of their parents’ ministry.

In conclusion, the workshop stressed that parenting for pastors is an extension of ministry, and every pastor’s child should see themselves as disciples of Christ—living in obedience and reflecting the life of Christ in all they do.
