Workshop for Group Heads and Evangelists

From August 7th to 9th, 2025, the EYN DCC Jos auditorium came alive with energy, insight, and inspiration as group heads and evangelists gathered for a three-day workshop under the theme “Uncommon Leadership.”

The event reflected the district’s deep commitment to nurturing quality leadership across its various Local Church Councils (LCCs) in Jos. It provided a platform for leaders to learn, share, and grow together in their calling.

Rev. Daniel Dogo Awayi

The guest speaker, Rev. Daniel Dogo Awayi of Christ Ambassadors Cup Bearer Fountable Initiative Nigeria, challenged participants to embrace the qualities that set uncommon leaders apart. Drawing from John 15:1–11, he described such leaders as godly in character, committed in service, genuine in spirit, and continually growing in their walk with God.

According to Rev. Awayi, “An uncommon leader is not just about holding a position; it’s about serving others, shepherding the flock, and staying rooted in God’s word. True leadership inspires and equips people for the work of ministry.”

Facilitators throughout the workshop underscored practical strategies for effective teaching, ministry engagement, and building strong teams. They emphasized the biblical call in Ephesians 4:11–16 — to equip the saints, build up the body of Christ, and prepare believers for impactful service.

Sessions blended biblical teaching with hands-on approaches, empowering leaders to create engaging learning experiences and to model the skills, knowledge, and spiritual maturity required for ministry.

For many participants, the workshop was more than a training — it was a spiritual recharge. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity, noting how the sessions had deepened their understanding of leadership and renewed their passion for ministry.
