The EYN District Church Council (DCC) Suleja successfully held its 2025/2026 Annual Convention at EYN LCC Kuje, bringing together delegates, pastors, church workers, and representatives from all Local Church Councils (LCCs) across the district.
The convention served as a significant platform for spiritual renewal, evaluation of ministry activities, and strategic planning for the new church year. The District Church Council Chairman, Rev. Ibrahim H. Dakwa, presided over the gathering and served as the Chief Coordinator of the convention.

Spiritual Ministrations and Inspiring Teachings
Throughout the convention, worship and praise sessions created an atmosphere of thanksgiving, reflection, and dedication to God’s service.
The gathering was enriched by the ministries of two experienced servants of God who delivered impactful messages aligned with the convention’s theme of covenant prosperity through obedience.
The Guest Preacher, Rev. Samson Yusuf Dibal, Resident Pastor of EYN LCC Diko, challenged participants through powerful sermons to remain faithful in their covenant relationship with God. He emphasized that obedience to God’s commands remains the foundation for personal growth, church advancement, and divine prosperity.
Similarly, the Guest Teacher, Rev. Abau Midanda, Secretary of EYN DCC Abuja, led insightful teaching sessions focused on discipleship, effective leadership, and sustainable church growth. He encouraged church leaders and members to embrace biblical principles that will strengthen ministry effectiveness in a rapidly changing world.
Health Talk Promotes Holistic Wellbeing
In line with EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria’s commitment to holistic ministry, Miss Hanatu S. Bumba presented a comprehensive health talk during the convention.

Her presentation focused on preventive healthcare, healthy living practices, and community wellbeing. Participants expressed appreciation for the practical health knowledge shared, recognizing the importance of caring for both physical and spiritual wellbeing.
Delegates Adopt Key Resolutions
Delegates engaged in productive deliberations on several issues affecting the church and society. Discussions centered on evangelism, youth engagement, financial stewardship, church administration, and peace-building initiatives within the district.
At the end of the sessions, several resolutions were adopted to strengthen collaboration between Local Church Councils and the District Church Council, improve ministry effectiveness, and enhance the district’s mission outreach efforts.
Chairman Appreciates Participants
In his closing remarks, Rev. Ibrahim H. Dakwa expressed gratitude to God for a successful convention and appreciated EYN LCC Kuje for hosting the event.
He also commended ministers, delegates, committees, and members for their commitment and active participation throughout the convention. He encouraged participants to carry the message of covenant prosperity beyond the convention grounds and demonstrate obedience to God in their homes, churches, and communities.
The 2025/2026 EYN DCC Suleja Annual Convention concluded with thanksgiving, prayers for the new church year, and a renewed commitment among participants to pursue the convention’s guiding declaration:
“Obey, and Prosper.”
