On Sunday, June 9, 2024, EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, PhD, dedicated the EYN LCC Warambuge Church in DCC Michika, Michika LGA, Adamawa State. The ceremony highlighted the resilience and faith of EYN members in Michika LGA, despite facing challenges and attacks by Boko Haram in the region.
In his remarks, President Mbaya, extended the Leaderships deepest condolences to the Michika community for the loss of three kinsmen who were kidnapped and later killed along the Damaturu-Biu road.
On that note, he acknowledged the resilience of the members of Michika zone despite the hardship and attacks, they put in efforts in rebuilding EYN.
“When we received the message of this dedication, we were reminded of the passage in Isaiah 43:19, which promises that the Lord will do new things even in trying times. Dedicating this church is not just about the building, but about the renewal of faith for the entire membership of Wurabuge. We believe that through this dedication, those who are sick will be healed, those in bondage to sin will be freed, and those with individual problems will find solutions. May this dedication mark a new chapter in the life of this church and may God’s presence be felt in a special way.”
The EYN General Secretary, Rev. J.K. Musa, in a sermon urged Warambuge congregation to make the church building “God’s dwelling place,” not mindful of their contribution but the reward. He reminded them that whatever God bestows on us is to propagate His gospel, not for personal gain.
