5052 People Reached with the Gospel, 56 New Converts Recorded, and 927 Receive Medical and Prayer Support During Transformative Church Event
In a powerful demonstration of faith, compassion, and spiritual commitment, the Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria (EYN) Department of Evangelism and Church Growth recently led that has left an indelible mark on the hearts and lives of thousands. The EYN National Evangelism Outreach, which is a yearly exercise, where missionaries from across all EYN territory, was held in DCC Fiter, a region of Gombi Local Government Area, Adamawa State, with thousands of lives impacted through spiritual, medical, and social interventions.

According to the Rev. Evang. Musa Daniel Mbaya, EYN Director of Evangelism & Church Growth, the success of the outreach was attributed to a combination of “prayerful preparation, organizational dedication, and God’s divine guidance.”
Tangible Impact: Beyond Numbers
While numbers never fully capture the essence of spiritual encounters, the statistics from the outreach paint a powerful picture. More than 5,052 individuals were personally visited by outreach teams, who offered not only spiritual counsel but also practical support and encouragement.
In a remarkable display of spiritual renewal, 1,327 individuals rededicated their lives to Christ, affirming a renewed commitment to follow Him wholeheartedly. These decisions were met with joy, prayers, and encouragement, as local church leaders pledged ongoing discipleship and support.
Addressing both spiritual and physical needs, the outreach also incorporated medical care, with over 927 people receiving medical attention. Trained professionals provided consultations, treatments, and health education—reminding attendees that holistic well-being is a vital aspect of Christian ministry.
In the prayer tents, 746 individuals received personal prayers—some for healing, others for deliverance, guidance, or strength amid life’s challenges. The atmosphere was filled with faith, and many testified of answered prayers and divine encounters.
Yet, the most significant highlight was the number of 56 new converts who openly accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. These men, women, and youth came from diverse backgrounds—some encountering the gospel for the first time. Their decisions mark not just a personal transformation but a ripple effect that is expected to influence families, neighborhoods, and generations to come.

Holistic Ministry: Medical and Prayer Support
Beyond preaching and teaching, the outreach also featured medical outreach services, with 927 people receiving medical attention during the course of the event. Volunteer health workers provided free consultations and basic treatment to individuals who might not otherwise have access to healthcare.
Additionally, 746 individuals received personal prayers for various needs, including healing, deliverance, and guidance. Many shared testimonies of relief and emotional restoration after receiving prayers from the outreach team.

Coordinated Effort and Community Impact
Organizers emphasized that the event was marked by passionate gospel preaching, supported by prayers and testimonies that resonated strongly with attendees.
“The messages were simple, clear, and focused on repentance and the saving grace of Jesus,” said one participant. “You could feel people responding with open hearts.”
event was coordinated through months of planning and prayer by the EYN Department of Evangelism and Church Growth, supported by local DCC Fiter church leaders and volunteers. Organizers reported strong cooperation from local churches and community members, contributing to the smooth execution and positive atmosphere of the outreach.
The outreach not only strengthened the local EYN congregations but also fostered stronger community bonds, as individuals from different backgrounds came together in a shared environment of worship, compassion, and service.
Long-Term Vision and Hope for the Future
Looking ahead, the department is not resting on its success. Rather, this outreach is viewed as a launching pad for continued evangelism efforts. Plans are already underway for similar programs in other regions, with a focus on deepening discipleship and community transformation.
The seeds sown during the Gombi outreach are expected to bear fruit for years to come. New believers are being integrated into local churches, while rededicated members are expected to step into active roles in the Church.
