Kwarhi, EYN HQ, 25 June, 2024 – In an attempt to demonstrate EYN Church’s commitment to support those affected by conflict and violence in the Northeastern region, the EYN Directorate of Disaster and Relief Management team distributed 88 goats to 44 persons, each owning a male and female goat.
The Initiative tag “Distribution of livestock for Sustainability” is aimed to provide sustainable livelihood support to 10 District Church Councils to include Mbalala, Kantikari, Chibok, Chibock Balgi, Lumirgu, Yimirpubba, Dille, Lassa, Kwajafa, Yawa and Musa communities.
EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y. C Mbaya, PhD, urged beneficiaries to care for the goats, emphasizing their potential to improve families’ well-being.
In his remarks, Rev. Duwara Y. Bitrus, Director of Disaster and Relief Management, expressed gratitude to the President for his presence and to the directors who attended the event. The Director also acknowledged the sponsor’s vision for the livestock distribution, promoting sustainability.
Forty-four beneficiaries from DCC Kautikari and DCC Mbalala received the goats. Rev. Ayuba B. Maina, DCC Secretary Kautikari, and Rev. Demas Nuhu DCC secretary Mbalala appreciated the EYN Disaster and Relief Management team’s efforts, bringing hope to vulnerable communities.
The beneficiaries thank God and the leadership of the EYN for this assistance.
