The EYN Education Department, led by Rev. Daniel Yumuna, successfully organized a 2-day workshop for Sunday School zonal coordinators. The event, themed “A Heart of a Teacher,” took place at the Church’s National Headquarters in Kwarhi, Adamawa State, from Wednesday, 19th to Friday, 21st, 2025.
EYN Vice President Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba, accompanied by Rev. James Musa and other National Standing Committee members, assured the teachers of the current leadership’s commitment to enhancing the Sunday School unit. He unveiled plans to establish a dedicated Sunday School Department, prioritizing the needs of teachers and children.
Rev. Daniel Yumuna expressed gratitude to the EYN leadership and Sunday School teachers. Participants express their views to EYN News. Mrs. Chimiyu Haranu from LCC Gashala, DCC Gashala expressed her gratitude to the Education Directorate from always trying to give them a refresher course which she said was very helpful. She equally called on teachers to support parent in moulding the young ones citing that some parent frown at teachers when their wards are discipline.
Mr. Gideon Ayuba LCC Madanya, DCC Lokuwa expressed his joy with current Leadership as the focused-on Sunday School. ” I am very happy with the innovation to have Sunday Department that will cater for all the needs of teachers and Children. This will boast the growth of Sunday School beyond imagination.
The workshop aimed to equip Sunday School teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively nurture young minds. With the proposed Sunday School Department, EYN is poised to revolutionize its Sunday School program, fostering spiritual growth and development among children.
