The EYN Department of Education organized a meeting for Zonal and District Church Council (DCC) Sunday School Coordinators on January 15–16, 2026, as part of preparations for the 2026 National Sunday School Week and the annual National Sunday School Competition.
The meeting brought together Sunday School Coordinators from various zones and DCCs across the Church to strengthen planning, coordination, and effective implementation of the upcoming national programs.

Speaking at the meeting, Rev. Daniel I. Yumuna, EYN Director of Education, who also heads the National Sunday School Unit. explained that the gathering was aimed at adequately preparing coordinators for the 2026 National Sunday School Week and Competition, ensuring a shared understanding and smooth execution of activities nationwide.
Also speaking, Bro. Yohanna Gambo, Uba Zone Sunday School Coordinator said discussions focused on planning for the 2026 National Sunday School Week and the National Competition, which will feature recitation and Bible quiz for both senior and junior categories. He disclosed that the senior category will study from Deuteronomy Chapter 15 – 34, while the junior category will use Deuteronomy Chapter 15 – 24, stressing that the meeting was essential for proper planning and successful implementation.
In her remarks, Mrs. Linda Clifford, Sunday School Coordinator, DCC Bazza noted that the meeting provided coordinators with an opportunity to plan effectively for children’s activities. She added that discussions also covered how the 2026 Sunday School Week and recitation programs would be organized.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment by all coordinators to work together toward the successful hosting of the 2026 National Sunday School Week and Competition.
