Inline with the Church’s commitment to provide a renewed hope for quality healthcare delivery for her immediate community and beyond, the EYN- Church of the Brethren in Nigeria Headquarters on Friday, 23rd January, 2026, received a 19 ton container of Modern Medical Equipment from its mission partners in the United States of America. The consignment arrived at the EYN Comprehensive Health Center Kwarhi, Mararba Mubi, Hong LGA, Adamawa State, marking what church leaders described as a robust blessing to EYN members, the host community, and surrounding environs. this development aligns to the EYN Leadership’s vision of having a General Hospital for the Church.

The medical equipment was officially received on behalf of the church by the EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, Ph.D, amid jubilation and thanksgiving. The arrival attracted a large gathering that included staff of the EYN Headquarters, staff of the EYN Dispensary, as well as staff and students of Kulp Theological Seminary (KTS). Together, they participated actively in the offloading exercise, a symbolic demonstration of unity, shared ownership, and collective hope for a revitalized healthcare system.

The newly arrived equipment comprises some of the most highly technical and modern medical gadgets required by contemporary hospitals to address prevailing and emerging health challenges. These state-of-the-art facilities are expected to significantly enhance the capacity of the EYN Kwarhi Clinic to provide improved diagnostic, therapeutic, and emergency services, thereby reducing the burden on patients who often travel long distances in search of advanced medical care.

Speaking during the reception, the EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, Ph.D, expressed profound gratitude to God for the safe arrival of the equipment from the United States to Nigeria, and particularly for the successful transportation from Lagos to Adamawa State. He described the journey of the container as a testimony of divine protection and favor, noting that logistics and transportation challenges often pose serious obstacles to such humanitarian efforts.
Rev. Mbaya also extended his heartfelt and unlimited appreciation to EYN mission partners in the United States for their selfless support, dedication, love, kindness, and sacrificial service to the church, acknowledging Rabbi Rod Meyers for his tireless efforts in mobilizing support from the Church of the Brethren in America and partners abroad.
He also stated that the partnership between EYN and its mission friends dates back to the very birth of the church, emphasizing that their continued commitment remains a strong pillar in the growth and sustainability of EYN’s spiritual, educational, and medical ministries.
“Today, we return all the glory to God for what He has done,” Rev. Mbaya stated. “We deeply appreciate our mission partners who have stood with EYN over the years. Their love and commitment to the well-being of our people have once again been demonstrated through this generous donation.”

After formally acknowledging the receipt of the medical equipment, the EYN President expressed optimism about the future of healthcare delivery at the EYN Kwarhi Clinic. He declared that the arrival of the modern gadgets would restore the clinic to its former glory and beyond. “With these new modern equipment, our clinic will be resurrected to the standard it was known for,” he said, drawing applause from the gathered crowd.
