The Community Development Department (CDD) of EYN Integrated Community-Based Development Programme (ICBDP) successfully organized a zonal workshop aimed at equipping Community Development Officers (CDOs) and Community Development Committee members with practical strategies to mitigate the effects of climate change in arid regions.

The workshop, held from October 20th to 22nd, 2025, took place in Gombi, Gombi Local Government Area, Adamawa State.
The training focused on regenerative agricultural techniques, with particular emphasis on agroforestry and compost production. Dr. Enock B. Badigal, an expert in Ecosystem Management, facilitated the sessions, engaging participants from five community development stations: Gombi, Hong, Garkida, Song, and Girei. A total of 65 participants attended the workshop.

Mr. Emmanuel Daniel, Head of Department, EYN CDD, expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Badiga for his commitment and valuable contributions to the workshop. On behalf of the participants, Mr. Lawrence Kaigama (CDO, Gombi Station) and Mr. Bitrus Samuel (CDO, Girei Station) extended their gratitude to the leadership of ICBDP CDD for the impactful training and the opportunity to enhance their capacity in sustainable development practices.
