KULP THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY MATRICULATES NEW STUDENTS, CONDUCTS INTERVIEW FOR MASTER’S PROGRAM

Today 11th July, 2025, The EYN Kulp Theological Seminary, Kwarhi, held a matriculation ceremony for nine new students into its Bachelor of Arts in Christian Religious Studies (BACRS) program for the 2025/2026 academic session Part Term. The ceremony was followed by an interview for applicants to the Master’s program for the same academic session.

In his remarks, the Provost of KTS, Rev. Prof. Dauda A. Gava, congratulated the new students and advised them to be obedient to the seminary’s authority and lay aside their personal interests. He assured the students that the school management would do its best to make KTS a better place of learning. Prof. Gava also called on continuing students to serve as role models for the new students.

The EYN Director of Education, Rev. Daniel I. Yumuna, congratulated the new students and challenged them to take their studies seriously, avoiding distractions. He appreciated the efforts of the faculty members and called on parents and the entire EYN family to support theological education. Rev. Yumuna emphasized that ministry is a high-level calling for service to God and humanity.

The EYN Administrative Secretary, Rev. Amb. Timta L. Musa, representing the EYN President, appreciated the KTS management for their commitment to the growth of the seminary. He welcomed the new students and encouraged them to be part of the KTS family, aligning themselves with the Holy Spirit throughout their studies.

In a powerful sermon, Rev. Musa Abdullahi Zuwarva emphasized the importance of knowledge and wisdom in life, stating that “knowledge of God is very powerful and can lead someone to a better life and success.” Rev. Ayuba Bugi, in a goodwill message, called on the new students to put God first in all they do and abide by the school rules and regulations.

The interview for the Master’s program, facilitated by a panel of esteemed professors, including Rev. Prof. Dauda A. Gava, KTS Provost, Assoc. Prof. Zainab B. Mshelia, Member Governing Council Dr. Kanadi Gava, KTS Registrar, Rev. Daniel I. Yumuna, Director of Education, Rev. Titus Hyeladuma, Dean Post Graduate Diploma, and Rev. Isah Yunusa Azibah, Exam Officcer  aimed to select candidates for the program.

Rev. Prof. Gava expressed confidence that KTS is well-equipped to start a Master’s program, with many professors already on board and the necessary infrastructure in place. He predicted that KTS would soon be competitive with other seminaries worldwide.
