It was a joyful and spirit-filled day on Sunday, 12th October 2025, as LCC Gombi 2 held a grand retirement service in honor of Rev. Jalo Abubakar and his wife, Mrs. Liatu Abubakar. The event drew thousands of worshippers, including top officials from the EYN Headquarters, Kwarhi, and several pastors from different churches.

The colorful ceremony was chaired by Rev. Eli Samuel, Secretary to the Ministers’ Council, who commended the retiring couple for their many years of faithful service in God’s vineyard and their lasting impact on the lives of many believers.
In his sermon, the EYN Director of Education, Rev. Daniel I. Yumuna, spoke on “The Importance of Service in the Vineyard of God.” He emphasized the value of faithful stewardship and commitment in ministry, urging believers to serve God wholeheartedly wherever they are called.

The former EYN President, Rev. Joel S. Billi, in a goodwill message, described Rev. Jalo as “a true man of God whose ministry has been marked by humility, dedication, and sincerity.” He congratulated the couple for finishing their ministerial race well and prayed for God’s continued blessings upon their new phase of life.

Many well-wishers took turns to offer heartfelt prayers and tributes, thanking God for the life and ministry of the couple. The atmosphere was filled with songs of thanksgiving, testimonies, and joy, as members celebrated a legacy of faithful service and commitment to the work of the Lord.

The event concluded with a special presentation of gifts and prayers of blessing, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Rev. and Mrs. Abubakar after years of fruitful service.
