Members of the Brethren Praise Band at EYN LCC Maiduguri joined their counterparts across DCC Maiduguri in observing the maiden Brethren Praise Band DCC Week, held from Friday, 26 June to Sunday, 28 June 2026.
The programme commenced on Friday with fasting and prayer, creating an atmosphere of spiritual reflection and preparation. On Saturday, participants received a teaching from Rev. Zarahuta Ezra on the theme, “One Body, One Sound,” based on 2 Chronicles 5:2–14, 2 Chronicles 3:1, and Ephesians 4:3–6.
In his message, Rev. Ezra emphasized that while believers possess different skills and talents, they are united in one purpose. He noted that in unity, the imperfect becomes acceptable, the many become one, and the visible becomes filled with God’s invisible glory. He further stressed that in Christ there is no division, as believers are one body, united by one baptism and one Spirit. He encouraged members to identify with one another’s successes, pains, joys, and sorrows as members of the same body of Christ.
The programme concluded on Sunday with thanksgiving and renewed commitment by members to uphold unity, love, and excellence in ministry. Participants described the maiden DCC Week as spiritually enriching and prayed for God’s continued guidance as the Brethren Praise Band grows in service to His kingdom.
This is wonderful. May the Lord continue to strengthen and uplift our music ministry in EYN, so that through songs of praise and worship, the entire brethren may be drawn ever closer to God.

Indeed God has ordered the wheel for this program, despite all odds , yet God was faithful leading us finished successfully and enriched in the word, developed in life skill teaching and strengthen in one body one sound. We are now fortified with a bond of unity to finish the race strong. May God show us more ahead in Jesus Name. Amen.
