The EYN Leadership has condemned in strong terms the recent attack on Bamzir, Chibok LGA, Nigeria, by Boko Haram insurgents. The attack, which occurred on January 12, 2025, at 2:10 am, resulted in the loss of Two brothers, destruction of Church properties and displacement of innocent citizens.

It should be recalled that similar attack occured in Njilang also a community in Chibok community on 2, January, 2025, where lives and properties were destroyed by same Boko Haram attack.

Speaking on the damages caused, Rev. Ibrahim Titsi, DCC Secretary Chibok-Balgi, told eynnews.com that the insurgents killed two brother with one proposed to marry in April, carted away with three bulls belonging to one Mr. Iliya Tambi, burnt 450 plastic chairs belongs to EYN LCC Bamzir A, Burnt 6 shops, 3 stores stacked with food items.

EYN President, Rev. Dr. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, PhD, expressed his deep sympathy to the families of the victims and the entire Bamzir community.
President Mbaya, assured the affected community of its continued support and prayers during this difficult time.
“We are deeply saddened by this senseless attack on innocent lives and properties. Our hearts go out to the families of the victims, and we pray for God’s comfort and strength during this difficult time.”
He called on the government and security agencies to take decisive action to defend citizens against such heinous attacks. “We urge the government to take immediate and decisive action to protect the lives and properties of its citizens. The continuous attacks on innocent lives and properties are unacceptable and must be addressed with utmost urgency.”
The Leadership also appealed to the international community to support Nigeria in its fight against terrorism and insecurity. “We call on the international community to stand with Nigeria in its fight against terrorism and insecurity. We must work together to address the root causes of this menace and ensure that our citizens can live in peace and security.”
