The EYN President Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, PhD, led a delegation of top officials to worship with the Local Church Branch, Billiri, LCC Tunfure, Gombe state on Sunday, 13 Oct. 2024.
- The delegation, on their way back to the EYN Headquarters after attending the Funeral Service of Late. Rev. Vincent Peter Alaku broke the journey in Gombe to attend an encouragement sunday Worship Service with the LCB.
During the service, Rev. Mbaya conveyed greetings of peace and love from EYN, reaffirming the organization’s support for the establishment of the church in Billiri. He prayed for the church’s growth and prosperity, citing Philippians 4:4-7.
Rev. Mbaya acknowledged Nigeria’s economic challenges and the suffering of its people, emphasizing the need for increased love and wisdom among believers. “In a nation plagued by unpatriotic leaders, we must cling to our faith and support one another,” he urged.
Rev. Yahaya Bulus, Pastor in Charge, who thanked the EYN leadership for their visit and encouragement, also said the sermon to conclude the National Boys Brigade Fellowship Week which is tagged “walking with God”.
In his Sermon, he explained that Victory in Walking with God Requires Faithfulness in His Commandments. He read from Amos 3:3 and 1st Peter 2:21, emphasizing the importance of walking with God and adhering to His commandments.
“Faithfulness to God’s commandments guarantees special benefits from Him,” Rev. Bulus exhorted the congregation. “As we walk with God, we experience His guidance, protection, and blessings.”
