The General Secretary of the EYN, Rev. James K. Musa, in collaboration with the EYN President and the National Standing Committee, has organized a 3-day capacity building workshop for all EYN DCC Secretaries. The workshop, which took place from May 29-31, 2024, focused on “The Essentials of Administrative Procedure/Confidentiality”.
The workshop featured insightful topics, including a presentation on the vision of the church by the EYN President, and a session on Administrative Procedure/Confidentiality by Mr. Hyelo John, DCC Secretary as an Administrator by EYN General Secretary and the Use of social Media by Mr. Mbursa Jinatu, with an interactive session featuring the Administrative Secretary Rev. Timta Luka Musa and all EYN Directors.
During the workshop, the EYN President, Rev. Dr. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya shared a vision for the church’s future. He emphasized the importance of confidentiality in administrative procedures, and restated the Church’s vision to be a united living Church, deeply rooted in the word of God, growing spiritually, numerically and materially prosperous.
President Mbaya charged the DCC secretaries to work diligently towards the growth of the church, stressing that the new leadership will focus on moving forward, rather than dwelling on past mistakes. However, he warned that disciplinary measures will be taken if misdeeds continue. He also encouraged those who have committed wrongdoing to seek forgiveness from God.
He also asked the DCC Secretaries to break any former alliances that is not progressive and desist from intriguing tension within the leadership, explaining Kat the role of the District Secretary is to serve as a link between the LCCs and the Headquarters, ensuing them of the leaderships maximum Support and Respect.
The aim of the workshop is to equip DCC Secretaries with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage their administrative responsibilities and maintain confidentiality in their duties, coping with the dynamic world and shift in technology.
