Faith Meets Governance: EYN is Expanding Influence as EYN Pastor Become Deputy Chaplain of Adamawa State
The sEYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria continues to broaden its impact and becoming more relevant in governance as Rev. Samaila James Futu, EYN Pastor, has been officially installed as the Deputy Chaplain of the Adamawa State Government House, Yola.
Currently serving as the Resident Pastor of EYN LCC 2 Gombi, Rev. Futu will now work alongside the Government House Chaplain, Pastor Kaigama, providing pastoral care, coordinating Christian fellowship, and offering spiritual guidance at the heart of the state’s leadership.
The installation ceremony, though brief, drew a host of distinguished dignitaries and Christian leaders, highlighting the importance of the occasion. Chaired by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, CFR, the event also featured Rev. Timta L. Musa, Dr. Mathias B. Ardo, Mr. Edmond Amos, and Chief Sunday Monedafe, among others.
Observers described Rev. Futu’s installation as a testament to EYN’s growing relevance in public life, demonstrating how the church continues to influence governance and strategic leadership spaces with moral and spiritual guidance.
The ceremony featured prayers, goodwill messages, and expressions of confidence that Rev. Futu’s service will further strengthen faith-based engagement and uphold godly values within the Adamawa State Government House.
