EYN Peace Unit Acquire Brand New Toyota Starlet to Ease Local
The Peace Unit of the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (EYN) has marked a significant milestone with the acquisition and dedication of a new departmental vehicle. The ceremony took place on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the EYN Headquarters, led by EYN President, Rev. Dr. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya.
During the dedication, Rev. Mbaya commended the Peace Unit team for their unwavering commitment, accountability, and excellence in service. He revealed that the vehicle was procured through internally generated and prudently managed funds, highlighting it as a model of resourcefulness and visionary leadership. “Let this car be a symbol of your hard work and an example to others,” he remarked, encouraging all departments to embrace stewardship and responsibility.
The new vehicle represents a strategic enhancement to the Peace Unit’s operational capacity, particularly in reaching remote communities for peacebuilding initiatives. It also underscores the department’s ongoing efforts toward self-sufficiency and improved service delivery.
Mrs. Mary Yohana Bugi, EYN Peace Coordinator, expressed deep appreciation to the church leadership for their continued support and encouragement. She emphasized that the achievement reflects the collective vision of EYN leadership in advancing peace and effective ministry. “This vehicle will greatly enhance our ability to engage with communities in hard-to-reach areas,” she noted.
