The EYN Pension Unit launched a 3-day workshop on January 14-17, 2025, at the EYN Headquarters in Kwarhi, Hong LGA, Adamawa State. The workshop, designed for employees intending to retire between 2004 and 2009, aimed to equip them with knowledge and skills for a smooth transition into retirement.
In his welcoming address, EYN President Rev. Daniel Y.C Mbaya, PhD, drew inspiration from Psalms 92:12-15. He emphasized the EYN Leadership’s vision of a united, prosperous, and numerically strong church, deeply rooted in the Word of God. Rev. Mbaya urged participants to cultivate a spirit of prayerfulness, love, and unity.
The President also challenged the participants, mostly pastors, to create an environment conducive to prayer in their respective workplaces and to mentor those who would take over their responsibilities. He encouraged the intending retirees to maintain a positive mindset, reduce worries, and be content with their blessings.
Rev. Mbaya offered powerful prayers for the participants and declared the workshop open. Mr. Sunday Dishon Shallhudiki, Chairman of the EYN Pension Board, expressed gratitude to the EYN Leadership for their support. He encouraged participants to appreciate God’s provision and the EYN Leadership’s efforts in organizing the workshop despite the current economic challenges in Nigeria.
Mr. Aniya Simon, EYN Pension Secretary, highlighted the workshop’s objective of enriching intending retirees with knowledge about retirement, enabling them to live fulfilling lives after retirement.
