The EYN Pension Unit recently organized a workshop for 70 prospective retirees and their spouses, aimed at preparing them for a smooth transition into retirement. The event, which starts today, Wednesday, 11, 2024, was designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to adjust to life after retirement.
According to Mr. Ania Simon, Pension Secretary, the workshop was essential in helping prospective retirees understand how to manage their expenses with a reduced income. “We want to ensure that our retirees are physically and mentally prepared for this significant change in their lives,” he explained.
The workshop had two primary objectives: to prepare participants for the physical and emotional aspects of retirement and to educate them on the necessary documents required to claim their benefits.
During the event, EYN President Rev. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, PhD, accompanied by members of the National Standing Committee, paid a courtesy visit and officially declared the workshop open.
