EYN Expands with New Autonomous LCB at Kyanyigwana

SULEJA, Niger State — July 5, 2026 — EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria has continued its expansion with the official declaration of EYN LCB Kyanyigwana as an autonomous Local Church Branch under DCC Suleja.

The declaration was made by the President of EYN, Rev. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, PhD, during a special worship service attended by church leaders, ministers, members, and invited guests who gathered to witness the landmark occasion.

Declaring the church autonomous, Rev. Mbaya described the development as evidence of the congregation’s spiritual growth, sound leadership, and commitment to the mission of the Church. He encouraged members to remain faithful to the teachings of Christ, uphold the doctrines and values of EYN, strengthen the unity of the Church, and remain committed to evangelism and discipleship.

The EYN General Secretary formally presented the autonomy certificate and other official documents to the leadership of the new Local Church Branch. He urged the church to provide servant leadership, maintain transparency and accountability, nurture spiritual development, and continue demonstrating Christ’s love through community service and outreach.

The service was filled with heartfelt thanksgiving, vibrant praise, and prayers as members of EYN LCB Kyanyigwana celebrated the historic achievement. Many described the declaration as the beginning of a new phase of ministry that carries greater responsibility and opportunities for growth.

The autonomy of EYN LCB Kyanyigwana reflects EYN’s continued commitment to strengthening local congregations and expanding the Church’s mission across Nigeria. As an autonomous Local Church Branch, Kyanyigwana is expected to play an even greater role in advancing the Gospel, developing leaders, and serving its surrounding communities.
