In an emotional morning devotion today, Friday, 3rd May, 2024, at the EYN Headquarters in Kwarhi, Adamawa State, the outgoing President of the Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria (EYN), Rev. Joel S. Billi bids farewell to the headquarters staff.
In his usual morning greetings, the president announced to the staff that today marks his last day in the devotion as the incumbent President of EYN. He also announced the official handing and taking over to the New EYN President, Rev. Dr. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya and the new Vice President Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba by 10 Am.
“Today is the 3rd of May 2024, will be my last devotion with you here in the morning devotion as the President. You should recall that in 2016, our predecessors handed the over to us on 3rd May, 2016 which makes it exactly 8 years now that My self, the Vice president and the General Secretary have been serving the church”
Rev. Billi, having served two terms of four years each as the EYN President, took the opportunity to convey his heartfelt appreciation to God and the staff for their unwavering support and collaboration throughout his tenure. Nevertheless, he lamented the lack of discipline and productivity exhibited by certain staff members, encouraging them to embrace a fresh start as the incoming leadership assumes their roles. The EYN President, urged all EYN employee to continue serving the church with passion and commitment. He also prayed for divine guidance for the incoming leadership, advising the staff to offer unwavering support and collaboration to his successor.
Furthermore, he warmly greeted the new EYN General Secretary, Reverend James K. Musa, and the new Administrative Secretary, Reverend Luka M. Timta, who officially assumed their roles on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, following a formal transition from their predecessors.
