During the funeral service of Late Rev. Musa Dzara on Friday, June 21, 2024, EYN President Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya urged Christians to pray for Nigeria and desist from heaping curses on the nation, despite the economic challenges facing the nation. He encouraged believers to have hope in God’s ability to bless and transform the country for the better.
Rev. Mbaya condoled with the family of the deceased, particularly his wife, Mrs. Maryamu Musa, and encouraged them to find comfort in the good testimonies about Rev. Dzara’s fulfilling life.
He challenged pastors to emulate the exemplary life and service of the late Reverend, saying, “Let us strive to be a blessing to others, just like Rev. Dzara. Let us be a reason for someone’s progress, just like he was.”
The President also urged all EYN members to be prudent in managing their resources during these difficult times, saying, “Let us be wise in our financial dealings, so that we can persevere through this situation. Let us fix our minds on God, who is our rock and our salvation.”
EYN Vice President Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba, in his sermon, drew from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Revelation 21:1-8, reminding the congregation that for Christians, death is merely a sleep, and there is hope of life after death. He emphasized the importance of focusing on the heavenly promise rather than earthly possessions.
Testimonies from attendees described Rev. Dzara as a vibrant and dedicated servant of God who had positively impacted many lives. He was remembered as a fearless and faithful leader who had built a legacy that would continue to inspire others.
The funeral service was held in Mizza, DCC Bikama, Mubi South LGA, Adamawa State Late Rev. Musa Dzara’s and he was also laid to restat his residence on the same day.
