The 2025 ZME National Convention kicked off today, March 27, 2025, at the EYN Headquarters, with a powerful welcoming address from EYN President Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, Ph.D.
In his speech, President Mbaya expressed his excitement about the women’s gathering, emphasizing its potential to inspire and empower them to live out their faith with boldness and conviction.
Addressing the women, President Mbaya reminded them of their critical role in spreading the gospel and advancing the kingdom of God. He charged them to be women of integrity, leading with honesty and transparency, and to be compassionate, courageous, and faithful.
President Mbaya also cautioned the women against competing with pastors’ wives as rivals in their respective Local Church Councils (LCCs), emphasizing that each has unique roles to play.
He concluded by challenging the women to rise up and become the women God has called them to be – women of faith, courage, and integrity. He urged them to spread the gospel, not gossip, and to live lives worthy of the God they serve.
The convention is expected to continue with various sessions and activities, all aimed at empowering and inspiring the women to fulfill their roles in the church and society.
