EYN LCC Muchala Holds 3 Days Annual Revival
The President of the EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, PhD, has called on the President of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, along with all political office holders, religious figures, and traditional leaders, to always do what is right in the eyes of God to prevent His wrath upon the nation.
I call on the President of Nigeria, His Excellency President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and all political office holders, religious leaders, and traditional rulers to always do what is right so that we will not attract the wrath of God upon ourselves. The government must uphold transparency, stand for truth, and do what is just at all times.”

He made this strong appeal during the closing session of the three-day Annual Revival hosted by EYN LCC Muchala, DCC Ribawa, which ran from 28th to 30th November 2025 under the theme “The Blessedness of Giving” (Acts 20:35). Rev. Mbaya served as the guest preacher.
EYN: A Church Rooted in Peace, Love, and Biblical Truth
Speaking to the congregation, the EYN President described the denomination as a practical and Bible-believing church whose foundation rests on peace and love—the very character of God.
He commended members for maintaining a peaceful witness even amidst years of brutal persecution.
“Glory be to God. In all the persecution EYN has suffered since 2009, not a single member retaliated. This is because we are true believers in Jesus Christ,”
he affirmed.

Massive Humanitarian and Structural Losses from Insurgency
Rev. Mbaya highlighted the devastating impact of Boko Haram attacks on the denomination over the years. He presented sobering statistics:
- Over 100,000 widows within EYN due to widespread killings.
- More than 130,000 orphans, many left parentless after violent attacks.
- 15 pastors killed in active ministry.
- 2,800 church buildings burnt or destroyed.
He noted that as of 2014, EYN had 50 DCCs, of which only 7 were untouched by insurgency.
To date, four DCCs have still not returned to their original locations due to persistent insecurity:
* Gwoza
* Attagara
* Barawa
* Ngoshe
The President also recalled the tragic invasion of the Mararaba–Mubi axis, where nearly all churches were burnt while no mosque was affected, describing it as evidence of systematic religious persecution and targeted violence against Christians.

Rev. Mbaya urged Nigerians—especially Christians—to remain committed to truth, righteousness, and godly conduct, regardless of political or personal interests.
He reaffirmed EYN’s dedication to peace, faith, and the teachings of Jesus Christ, urging national leaders to embrace fairness, justice, and transparency for the well-being and stability of the nation.
