EYN President Honors Late Mama Jummai at Gombi Funeral, Describes Her as “A Mother to All”

The EYN President Rev. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, PhD, in company of the Vice President. Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba and Rev. Samuel Eli, Secretary to the Minister’s Council, honored the Funeral Service of Late Mama Jummai at EYN LCC No. 2, DCC Gombi.

During the program, the President  deliverd  a heartfelt message describing her as “a mother to him and a mother to all.” The funeral service of Mama Jummai Ayuba S. Tagwi, was held at, and attended by church leaders, community dignitaries, and sympathizers who came to celebrate her impactful life.

 

Vice President’s Message: “Death Unites Everyone”

During the funeral, the EYN Ministers’ Secretary, Rev. Eli Samuel, officiated the service, followed by a sermon from the EYN Vice President, Rev. Nuhu.
He emphasized that death remains the one thing that unites both the rich and the poor, urging believers to live consciously, purposefully, and with eternity in mind.

This message echoed the theme of humility and preparedness that dominated the day.

In continuation of the theme, the EYN President Honors Late Mama Jummai at Gombi Funeral by describing her as:

  • A caregiver who devoted her years to supporting the needy and vulnerable

Rev. Dr. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya encouraged mourners to always remember the inevitability of death and to live lives that reflect love, service, and godliness.

Community Support and Attendance

The funeral service attracted a large gathering, reflecting Mama Jummai’s positive influence. Among those present was the District Head of Ngwaba, Mr. Isuwa Amos, who also paid tribute to the late matriarch.

This level of attendance demonstrates the respect and love Mama Jummai earned throughout her lifetime.
